This was the first episode of the NBC series Who Do You Think You Are? aired on Friday, March 5, 2010. I wrote about my connection to the story that same weekend on my blog found at this link: Visiting Salem.
This has been one of my favorite episodes for a variety of reasons. First, I enjoyed my own connection to the story. Second, I appreciated Sarah’s genuine empathy for her ancestors and the experiences they went through. I read later in a People magazine article that she named her twins (who were born after the show was filmed) after the ancestors that she learned about on this program. What a lovely tribute to great-great grandparents whom she knew nothing about until she embarked on this journey onto the branches of her family tree.
