Thanks, Heath Calhoun

I watched a story tonight on NBC news about the athlete who will be carrying the United States flag for the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games. His name is Heath Calhoun and his story is quite remarkable. Not only is he an amazing skier who can zip down the slopes on his specially designed mono-ski, but he is also a veteran who lost both of his legs when a rocket grenade hit his Humvee while he was serving our country in Iraq .

Thank you, Heath Calhoun, for serving our country as a soldier and now representing us as a Paralympic athlete. Here’s hoping you come home with the gold!
