On December 9, 2011, I went to the second day of the Billabong Pipe Masters. It was SO amazing! The waves were 15-20 feet high and the surfers rode them with absolute ease and made it look like it was the simplest thing in the world to do. When I lived in Hawaii I didn’t get the chance to go to any surf competitions, so I was pretty excited to finally be able to go to one! Two of the surfers that we were most impressed with were: John John Florence (19 years old….and he ended up winning!) and Kelly Slater.
