A Daredevil’s Guide To Swimming with Sharks
By Kirsten Edwards rated it
The book would only be more fun if the sharks had lasers. Seriously, this title describes the hows, whys and wheres of swimming with sharks within the framework of interesting information about shark biology and preservation. A glossary, index and “further reading” are included in the back of this slim 48-page book. This one is probably worth the steep price however, as each page is packed with cool pictures and intriguing facts. It’s a fun read, and there’s just enough information to make it very useful for upper elementary reports, and mildly useful for middle-school projects. As bait for reluctant readers, or a fun reading for non-fiction fans, however, it’s first rate. Recommended grades 4 – 7 (review originally published in the WashRAG)
